ESMO Sarcoma and Rare Cancers 2024 Scientific Co-Chair Claudia Valverde looks into the benefits of attending the Congress. The event has the potential to bring together professionals from many backgrounds to work and discuss together. Although rare cancers are rare in that they are unique entities, rare cancers as a group account for around one in four new diagnoses so there is a high chance that oncologists will have to deal with rare cancers during their career.
