100 years of Rice University
Capturing nearly 100 years of Rice history in 30 seconds is not easy, but a new TV spot from Rice's Office of Public Affairs does exactly that. Starting in 1912, the camera follows a glowing timeline as it races through the Sallyport, across decades of historic images, books and artifacts, past a shuttle launch and then on to more photos of Rice's rich history before charging on to our Centennial Celebration and into the future.
The spot will premier during the season's first Owls Insider show on FOX Sports Houston starting at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1. The show and the spot will be re-broadcast on Friday, Sept. 2 at 1 p.m. on FOX Sports Houston, FOX Sports Southwest and Fox Sports Oklahoma, and at 3 p.m. on FOX SportSouth.
