Looking at a contemporary context requires you to argue and discuss the value of a text to modern society.
By comparing and contrasting themes and ideas to current social and cultural paradigms, you are deciphering how a text retains value over time. Look for themes which are universal or persistent.
Studying text and context also requires an ability to draw links between other works and their context.
In other words, how does a story from one time and place different from a similar story written at a different period, in a different place, by a different person?

When responding to a context related question – you are attempting to state how the meaning of the text is shaped by the combination of the text and context. Such as:
How a text is relevant to modern society
How a text is shaped by the time it was composed
How ideas reflect the human experience.
The relationship between texts of different eras
The relationship of texts between different authors
The relationship of texts between different mediums.
