Red Mountain. This gem of a mountain is less than 10 miles north of the US-Canada border, nestled just on the outskirts of Rossland, a small town in southeastern British Columbia, and this segment from Warren Miller's "FACE OF WINTER" shows how it truly embodies the spirit of skiing. It is independently owned by a collective of skiers, and you can feel the personal touch.

The Red Mountain Ski Patrol is a tight-knit group of hearty souls whose sole goal each and every day is to ensure safe skiing for everyone. Early mornings, whipping wind, and icicles forming on their faces won't stop this crew. Even in the worst and most brutal of winter conditions, this team of dedicated patrollers is out there, working hard, driven by an "enjoyment of the suffering."

Former Olympic skier, Kaylin Richardson, along with Freeskiing champion, Dennis Risvoll, and local Red Mountain phenom, Simon Hillis, got together to blast through some trees, hit some cliffs, and rip around this world class terrain.
