Euro 2020: Teams Qualified for Knockouts, Points Table, Last 16 Matches - All You Need to Know
Euro 2021
Here is everything you need to know after the end of the group phase, including points table, who qualified, and which team will face which team in UEFA European Championships knockouts.
After non-stop football action for 13 days and 35 matches, the last 16 lineups for Euro 2020 is all set. On the last day of group stages action, Portugal, Germany and Spain booked their spot for the knockout phases. While Portugal qualified as one of the best third-placed teams following their hard-fought 2-2 draw against France, for the second time in as many tournaments. Germany scraped through the last 16 stages fighting back twice and holding Hungary to a 2-2 draw. It was a see-saw battle in Group F, the Group of death of this year’s tournament with all four teams being in contention till the 80th minute of their matches.

In Group E action, Spain ‘popped like a bottle of champagne’ just like manager Luis Enrique had said before the match as they thrashed Slovakia 5-0 in their last group stage encounter. In the other match, Sweden secured a last-gasp win as Viktor Claesson’s stoppage-time goal helped them seal a 3-2 win over Poland and qualify as the group winner.
