Before you aim for your first order, make sure your profile is well-optimized. Here’s what you need:
A clear profile picture
An informative "About Me" section
Eye-catching gig thumbnails and videos
Searchable keywords and detailed gig descriptions
Attractive portfolio
Your profile should be as good as or better than top-rated and Pro Sellers on the platform.
Tip 1: Create gigs for keywords with less competition. For example, for "graphic design," there are over 19,000 gigs. But if you create a gig in a subcategory like "Icon Design” which has just around 3000 gigs, you increase your chances of getting an order.
Tip 2: Make multiple gigs and share your profile with friends and family to get initial impressions.
Tip 3: Stay online, start with a low price, and offer 24-hour delivery. When I started, I charged $5 for a 1-minute video edit with 1-day delivery. Now, I charge around $80 for the same 1-minute video. As you get reviews, you can increase your price.
