25 years of fighting, over 80 professional MMA fights, two-time ADCC champion. Jeff Monson is undeniably epic and badass, and in fact is considered a living legend in the world of combat sports.
In 2011 he first came to Russia to fight Fedor Emelianenko and has since become very well known to Russian fans. Over the following years, Jeff traveled a lot around Russia, where he played in tournaments of all possible stripes and levels, according to a variety of rules. Well, he also received Russian citizenship and became a political figure.
And so, on October 29 of this year, the 51-year-old veteran of mixed martial arts held his farewell fight as it was announced. It happened in Khabarovsk, within the framework of one of the oldest Russian promotions Drac. Jeff's opponent was a local fighter, master of sports in hand-to-hand combat, holder of the Eurasian champion belt according to Drak, Alexander Ilyasov.
