Math concepts for the ACT® test | System Of Equation Word Problems
In this video we discuss System Of Equation word problems. These types of problems require you to come up with two equations that describes what is going on in the problem. You will first need to decide what two values you need to solve for. This could be the number of child tickets and the number of adults tickets or how much goes into account one and how much goes into account 2. Typically looks like x+ y = ####. Then the second equation can relate two the total money spent or the total amount of interest earned. That equation looks like ax+by=c. Then you can use the Addition method of Substitution method to solve for the variables.
