"Hukom Bitay means the ""Hanging Judge"" and this movie is based on the real-life adventures of Judge Max Asuncion who was known as a stickler for the law and as a man who got death threats for breakfast. He had already sent seven convicts to death row and might send more if he was to continue with his crusade against crime. Judge Max was known as a fearless man and one of the most feared persons in the Philippines today. As the movie shows, his did not lead an easy life and neither was it for the members of his family
