Exchange Database Recovery Using ESEUTIL | Failed to mount database "Mailbox Database"

Best Alternative of Eseutil command to recover dismounted and offline EDB files. The software scans corrupt EDB file and recovers all mailbox items in few easy clicks.

Step 1 - (BACKUP)

Copy all the original database (.EDB) and log (.Log E00) files to safe location. Then also copy them into a working directory. Eseutil will modify the files in situ so if anything goes wrong you can get the unmodified database back.

Backup following files (*.edb, *.stm and Exx*.log where xx is a number relating to the information store)

Step 2 -

Run Command prompt (As Admnistrator) Then Go to Following path

C:\Cd "c:\Program files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\bin"

Step 3 -

Now Check the database state and expected log files with follwoing Command

E:\Program files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\bin\ eseutil /mh "c:\Program files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Mailbox Database 2015010923\Mailbox Database 2015010923.edb"

Step 3 -

Now Repair the database state and expected log files with follwoing Command

C:\Program files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\bin\ eseutil /p "c:\Program files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Mailbox Database 2015010923\Mailbox Database 2015010923.edb"

Step 5 -

It should fix the issue if doesn't then -

1) Restart the server
2) Move Logs files (E00) to different location from

"c:\program files\Microsoft\exchange Server\V14\Mailbox\Mailbox Database 2015010923"
