We’ve got the Amazfit Bip with us today! Priced at just over $50 it is in the super budget price category. It continuously tracks your heart rate, it can monitor your blood oxygen level, stress level, steps, there are 60 sport profiles, and on top of that it can track your 3 sleep stages. And it shows your health stats and notifications on the 1.43” display.

Recently we reviewed the GTS 2 mini and by the looks of things the Bip U is the younger sibling of the 2 with slightly less features and lower specs yet.. But considering the price is almost half of the GTS 2 mini it looks like a solid offering.

This under $50 space is getting busy with the likes of Mi band 5, Samsung Galaxy Fit 2, Amazfit Band 5… the new favourite from Honor – the Honor Band 6 is also in this price bracket. Let’s take a look at what the Bip U has to offer and how it stands up amongst its competition.

You can download plenty faces from the zepp app but only up to 4 can be stored on the watch face. Mind you there are also templates for downloading any picture from your mobile phone. And You can do this with either Android or iOS devices.

There is no ambient light sensor hence there’s just 5 brightness levels and it misses out on always on display.

There is a silicone strap and you’ll be pleased to know the 20mm straps are replaceable. The clasp is thankfully classic watch type, hence easy to use and slip on or off. The clasp is also plastic without any brand logo.
