Top of Vail Tour Hiking Trail, Colorado | Summer Wildflowers in 4K
This video shows the Top of Vail Tour hiking trail loop and its beautifully stunning mountainous scenery and wildflowers in 4K. The hiking trail is 3.8 miles with moderate elevation gain. We visited the trail on July 21, 2022.

The hiking trail is accessible from the village of Lionshead, Colorado. The village is adjacent to Vail, Colorado. Summer daytime parking is free, but this can change. Check the website for Vail, Colorado if the parking is still free at: https://www.vailgov.com/government/de...
Next, take the Eagle Bahn Gondola to the very top. There, you can enjoy the view of the Holy Cross Wilderness before heading to the trailhead. The Top of Vail Tour hiking trail starts to the left of the Epic Discovery center.
First, the trail takes you along the Ridge Route footpath and then back along the Grand Escape trail. You can also add the Ptarmigan Loop trail (additional 1.3 miles), if you'd like. When we were there, this loop trail was closed for repairs, unfortunately.
Among the wildflowers we saw there were arnica, daisies, paintbrush and lupine flowers. Paintbrush flowers stood out most for their variety of colors.
