I would like to share some of the experience gained about hunting pheasant with a spaniel. The main requirements for a dog are discipline, so that hunting does not turn into a race of a pheasant, a dog and a hunter. When the dog is working on a bird, when in pursuit the dog moves away from the distance of the shot, I stop it, then I go up and send it to the search again. This can happen more than once, especially when working on pheasant roosters.
