How Powerful Was The Older Brother Of The Droideka?
The Droideka was one of the most powerful droid units in the CIS army, owing largely to its powerful deflector shield and high rate of fire. However, the Droideka was rather pathetic compared to its older brother, the scorpinec annihilator droid. These droids were essentially a much larger version of the Droideka and was armed with two dual rapid fire laser cannons as well as a large particles-energy shield. It was said that just one of these droids took out 4 platoons of clone troopers before turning half a dozen AT-TEs into smoking husks. They were even more effective if regular Droidekas were placed within their shield, effectively making a mobile and impenetrable turret. Fortunately for the Republic, these were extremely expensive and only 100 were ever produced.
