In the latest episode of the WoWcast, Ion Hazzikostas has revealed that RBGs as we know it will be removed and replaced with the 8v8 Battleground Blitz system.
Ion believes this is a long 'overdue overhaul' for RBGs and will make it more accessible to players as they move towards a more Solo Queue approach.
Traditional RBGs will be available in Cataclysm Classic if RBG purist wish to play on in the old format.
