Hello Trailblazers, this is Noela and with Kafka’s release fast approaching Alex has been cooking.
You might have seen some of the infographics we released recently and if not check the links in the description.
In today’s video we will discuss if Kafka is worth pulling, especially for f2p players...
To answer that let’s quickly review her kit:
What we know so far is that Kafka does follow up attacks and applies Shock DoT when allies perform Basic Attacks.
She also detonates all the DoTs the enemy has on, with her Skill and Ulti. Based on that, the best way to build Kafka is with a lot of speed, so she can take more actions in one turn and detonate DoTs more often.
This causes one issue though! The whole team has to be speed tuned around Kafka. On top of that, to achieve the speed break points and to really “exploit” her Kit, you either have to have Asta in the team, have incredible relic luck or refresh daily to farm relics till you get lucky with your rolls!
With these as prerequisites, we are looking into teams that consist of Kafka, Asta, a DoT unit (like Serval, Sampo or Luka) and a healer/ sustainer.
Kafka looks like a DoT Hyper Carry who enables her teammates to do more dmg, meaning that you not only need to build and invest on Kafka but also on the rest of her team members.
That includes: level them up to 80, increase talents above lvl 8 and have +15 relics across all units, whereas other teams might not need such high investment (depending on the type of content you are interested in).
To wrap things up, I would say that Kafka and her teams have a low barrier to entry, as Sampo, Luka and Serval will be on her banner while Asta and Natasha are given for free.
This way you can assemble a good team with relative ease, but to reach Kafka’s team peak performance you have to invest a lot in her and her teammates, making it a less f2p friendly option. Especially if you are struggling with resources.
So, if you’re looking for a good team in the long run, Kafka teams are a great option, while in the short term you might not see the expected results assuming you have not been prepared.
