Genshin Impact Ningguang Healer x Support x DPS- Prototype Malice/ Prototype Amber
The weapon got a name change. It's now the Prototype Amber. I guess they didn't like the negative meaning behind malice?
Genshin has several characters built to be healers, but almost none of them are hp% healers. Characters designed to have massive health pools, like Zhongli, end up suffering from the lack of said healers. Can you use Barbara to heal him? Of course, but in instances like spiral your Barbara is better off on the other team. She would have to work harder to keep Zhongli topped off, while also putting you at risk of the wet status effect. Noelle is also a decent healer for him, but you need to fight with her and have her shield up... Diana can also heal him, but you have to stand in her slow charging Q's Cryo AoE with the character that needs healing, which puts them at risk of getting clapped. Xinqiu can also heal, but mine isn't built to heal. Zhongli can also heal... at c6... that isn't happening on my account. The characters in Genshin are like tools in a toolbox. You pull out the right tool for the right job.
Note, you can run Prototype Malice on any of the catalyst users for a similar effect, but Ning's Q costs 40 and has a cd of 12 seconds while their Q costs 80 and has a cd of 20 seconds. She also generates geo energy for Zhongli, so he can spam his Q more often... and they proc the Geo team buff that increases resistance to interrupt and increases shielded characters attack by 15%. Btw, thanks to the AoE blast, a c1 Ning is capable of being a competent dps. My gear on her is trash, but she is still able to fight against enemies that are +20 levels higher than her. That said, the healing side of this build can be pulled off with a level 1 Ning, since it is all the weapon and her own naturally low energy cost Q. She is a healer who can pack a nasty punch.
Artifacts I would invest in are:
4 Maiden's focused around healing bonus, energy recharge, elemental mastery (if you want stronger elemental shields)/ dps (attack, geo, crit rate, crit%.) Hp on her is nice because of her E, but it isn't necessary.
2 Maiden's, 2 Petra/ 2 Noblesse focused around the same as above.
Since the partywide heal is based on max hp% of each party member there is no way to easily scale the healing effect. Maiden's (and 2 piece traveling doctor on your other characters) and the hydro team effect are the only ways to really boost the healing past the weapons capped healing%. So, you have to decide that tradeoff for yourself. You heal for more with 4 Maiden's, but you lose out on the Geo dps or Burst dps.
