Why the FNAF Movie Can't Be Canon (to the Game Timeline). If the Five Nights At Freddy's movie and its sequels (which are confirmed) are even close to the games' timeline, then major parts of the game lore will be revealed. This leaves two possibilities: the movie will have to be drastically different after it covers the lore of the first 3-4 games, or Scott will just kind of give us the official storyline of the first few games, while leaving help wanted and later for Steel Wool to deal with story-wise.
