PMI® defines Work Breakdown Structure as "A deliverable-oriented grouping of project elements that organizes and defines the total work scope of the project.". A solid work breakdown structure with clear hierarchy and work packages can help to simply scheduling, resource planning and risk management of project. Also, the work packages needs to be sequenced based on the execution methodology, constraints imposed on the project.
