"Hey Tony, I saw you did a graphic design program on your resume. Do you think that helped you with UX/UI" Answer: Yes, absolutely.
The problem is these days everyone goes into UX/UI for the money. They do bootcamps trying to short circuit the traditional design education. The result is a bunch of designers who only know how to do UX/UI and use Figma. This is why a lot of the latest design we see on Dribbble all looks the same.
Graphic Design has helped me way beyond just doing logos and printed leaflets. It has allowed me to develop my range for visual expression, enabling me to add personality, fun, surprise and anticipation in my creations.
This is something that is very rare and much needed these days.
