I have always admired branding guidelines that are so thorough and considerate. They require so much thought and energy to build. Unfortunately, these branding guidelines fall short when it comes to visualizing data. This is where data visualization style guides come in. Dataviz style guides outline principles to help create effective visualizations, often considering things like colour, accessibility, and chart types.
With a strong desire to learn more about dataviz style guides, I took on a personal project where I try to make a style guide for a brand. This is the first video of this series where I show the process of how I approached this project. I start off by identifying the brand I want to study and understand key criteria for selecting this brand.

This was my first time recording a video! What a process. I am not very comfortable with video so this was completely out of my comfort zone. Feeling very good that I am overcoming my fear of appearing in video :)
