Paper Snowflakes #36 - How to make Snowflakes out of paper
I love making paper snowflakes. In this video I will show you how to make snowflakes out of paper. Follow step by step my folding technique to create perfect paper snowflakes.
Snowflakes are special, easy and fun to make at home with only a few cutting minutes. That is a classic and cheap way to make paper christmas ornaments to decorate our home. You can glue snowflakes on window, hang on ceiling or Christmas tree. It is great DIY Christmas craft idea for all of ages.
Here some tips can help you make snowflakes easier:
1. Lightweight paper for easy folding and cutting, medium/heavy weight paper is harder to fold and cut but more beautiful for decorating.
2. When you divide the triangle into three equal parts, you can use a protractor to measure each portion at a 30-degree angle for precision.
3. Remember: Adjust until 3 parts are equal. Don't crease the paper until the folds are just right, the folds must line up as close as possible for perfect symmetry.
4. Cut along lines in the patterns you drew. Be careful not to cut all the way across because it will break your snowflakes.
IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO CUT OFF THE EXCESS PAPER IN ONE PIECE, YOU CAN CUT IT IN MANY PIECES. It will be easier. In video I cut excess paper in one piece in order to illustrate the part that will be cut out.
5. Use a low setting to lightly iron your paper snowflakes to smooth out any creases.
