Here, the hypothetical maximum parkour leap width is found for a hypothetical individual for whom data are known about 40 yard dash and vertical leap performance. The data are used to evaluate the components of initial velocity of a hypothetical parkour leap. This analysis includes the analysis of the velocity graph in the 40 yard dash. Once the initial components of velocity are determined, the hypothetical time in flight is found using projectile motion equations. This time in flight is used with and without additional acceleration due to wind to determine horizontal travel attainable.
