This project was for our new client who found us through YouTube and because it's not very expensive or special car he setup budget on $1800 which makes the undercarriage really nice and clean (we could spent probably another 2hours and it will be perfect) but client was very happy with result and that's the important thing for us.

We believe that we are the first and only one detailing studio in the USA who operate this unique machine ColdJet PCS60. Which make us very unique. And we can offer same perfection underneath your car like we doing on exterior or interior.
What is Dry ice blasting? It is a non-abrasive method that safely cleaning surfaces and/or removing unwanted coatings. We can clean leather/fabric interior, we can clean paint on the car if we want and in the same time we can strip the paint down from the car if we want. Depend on settings.
How to start Dry ice cleaning business?
(this is message that I made for respond all people who asking for info)
Since I’m not a distributor would be the best to contact directly the company for dry ice machine you’d like to buy. Every day I have so many calls, emails and messages with questions about the machine but unfortunately I can’t help everyone separately.
So hopefully this info will help you.
Mobile or fixed location? I was thinking about do mobile dryice cleaning a lot but it’s complicated and more expensive. You will have to deal with portable auto lifts, huge generator tow behind the car, space for work where you can make a lot of mess and also nobody will care that you producing CO2 in that close space (outside is ok) and also the most annoying thing is the noise because you will make 100db+ and I mean 20-30ft from the machine is 100db such a terrible noise for neighbors (it’s like a jet)
The work alone is really messy, everything will be covered very quickly with tons of dust. Also it’s really hard work (physically) and I mean it! The blasting gun and hose are very heavy and not very flexible. Then you blasting with high pressure 50-80psi (usually) and imagine doing that 5-12hours per day with your head constantly up when you standing under the car and don’t forget that you will wear face mask, ears protection and probably full cover on your body otherwise you will be dirty like never. So trust me if I say that’s one of the most difficult work you will ever experienced. So always is the best to have a fixed location with proper ventilation (in close space you can be dead very very quickly) and you will need nice friendly neighbors that will be okay with that noise you making all day every day.
What you will need for start?
You will need a rotary screw compressor (30hp) min 125PSi with big tank (ideal 200gallons+) then you will need really good quality air dryer 150cfm+ (dry air is very important for proper working)
Then of course Dry ice machine that you like (brands here in the US that I found Coulson Ice Blast, Coldjet, CoolMaster)
Then you will need a lift for the car and also 3phase power in the building and expect big bill for electricity every month. I have pretty good setup and because we are in CA we pay $12 per hour just for electricity when the machine is running. Be also prep for washing every car after the work because the dust from underneath will be everywhere.
All together very realistically you will need $70k-100k for everything to start this business and price will change up with better quality machines. My setup was around $90k
Also don't forget to ask for dry ice supplier (many companies are out of stock because of COVID19)
Hopefully that helps you. Otherwise please contact the company who selling the machine that you want. I can not answer individually everyone I'm sorry.
The best of luck
Jakub
