After Effects CC 2021: Convert Expressions to Keyframes

This tutorial will show you how to convert Expressions to Keyframes in Adobe After Effects CC 2021. Expressions use snippets of code to add animations, but sometimes you want more control by using keyframes, so this tutorial will show you how to convert any expression to keyframes (hint: it’s really easy).

Keyboard Shortcut to Convert Bezier Keyframes to Linear:Hold Cmd or Ctrl and Click on selected keyframes

How To Convert Expressions to Keyframes:
1. Right-Click or Ctrl-Click on Property with Expression or on a Keyframe
2. Select ‘Keyframe Assistant’
3. Click on ‘Convert Expression to Keyframes’
4. Circle Keyframes = Bezier Keyframe. To convert to diamond-shaped or Linear, Hold Cmd or Ctrl and Click.
