Hitting YouTube’s 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours requirement can be daunting, so I turned to Fiverr to see if I could pay my way to monetization. In this video, I tested three different gigs, each promising to help me meet the requirements for the YouTube Partner Program. The results were eye-opening: from shaky methods to surprising successes, I share everything you need to know before considering this route.
The first gig promised real subscribers and engagement through Google Ads but only partially delivered. While I gained 334 subscribers and thousands of views, YouTube’s algorithm flagged the engagement, removing many watch hours and views. The second gig seemed more promising, delivering over 6,000 watch hours and 1,200 subscribers—until YouTube wiped out nearly all the watch hours, leaving me skeptical of these services.
For the final gig, I went all-in with a freelancer who took a creative approach by using a live video to drive over 4,300 watch hours and 853 new subscribers. Surprisingly, these hours stuck, allowing me to apply for the Partner Program successfully. I share the challenges, risks, and whether paying for YouTube monetization is a shortcut worth taking.
