No distance, no temporary occupation will divide Ukraine - it is only a matter of time until all Ukrainians live together - as one country. With these words, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the people on the occasion of Independence Day.

In the very heart of Ukraine, on the Independence Square, he emphasized that Ukrainian independence is today tempered in battle, in fights, in the labors of every citizen. The President recalled: Russia could not take Ukraine either "in three days" or in more than a thousand days of war. Ukraine is resilient, strong and unconquered.

"Ukrainians are and will be on this land, on this square, where in a hundred years generations of our descendants will stand. And where in a hundred years they will celebrate Ukraine's Independence Day. This will happen because Ukraine is different today, it is stronger and respects itself. Ukraine does not wait for goodwill gestures, it acts of its own free will, implementing what we need," Zelensky said.
