Multidisciplinary Design Optimization with CFD in OpenMDAO
Anil Yildirim, student at the University of Michigan MDO lab, presents work on using OpenMDAO to do optimization with CFD in the loop for boundary layer ingestion applications.
Note: Anil spoke first on day 2 of the workshop. He opens with a joke about go-karting, which won't make sense unless you actually attended the workshop. The evening of day 1, there was a go-karting competition at a nearby electric go-kart track (Anil came in 2nd place). We'll definitely do that again at the 2020 workshop!
