How to Create a Dead Zone on a Touchpad
Most new laptops now come with these oversized touchpads that contain no left or right buttons. This is a problem if you like resting one or more fingers on the left-hand side, as it will stop the touchpad from functioning properly. To solve this problem all you need is a small strip of Velcro tape, also known as hook and loop tape. This stuff is thick enough to stop your fingers from registering on the touchpad. All you need is the soft sided tape, which is also known as the loop side, cut it to size and place it in the desired location. You now have a dead zone that you can comfortably rest your fingers on.
