Transcript:What is goody gang, so today I am going to be talking about the confirmed genshin 3.8 phase 1 banners and why I think this is another major L to the roster of banners. So with all of the insane Fontaine teasers and drip marketing we got yesterday, I’m sure many including myself overlooked the announcement for the genshin 3.8 banners. Now hoyo if your watching this I got all this information from the twitter post you posted on the official twitter page so this isn’t taking any information from unpublished images. While we knew the five stars for this banner, hoyo officially announced the four stars and the weapon banner on their twitter, and it seems to be very disappointing. For the phase one banners, it was confirmed during the 3.8 livestream a while ago that we are getting Klee and Eula reruns. Now the new announcement tells us that we’re getting razor as one of the four stars, which is a massive L in my opinion. It’s not that he’s bad, because technically you can make any character “decent”, but it’s just that he’s bad if you know what I mean. He doesn’t really fit into current meta and aside from his burst which you have to be on field for it’s not allat. Well now moving on to the next four star is Mika, and he’s honestly just not too great especially at c0. I’m glad he is atleast rerunning with Eula but he’s just not that great of a unit to be honest and does not fit too great into many teams. Your better off using someone like Bennett instead especially with the insane attack buff. Well now lastly moving on to the last four star it is thoma, and I mean he is definitely the better of the three ones here and arguably the only good thing in this banner. He’s great for burgeon and his shield is really good as well, and so if the 3.8 abyss also favors burgeon teams then he wouldn’t be a bad edition. However, we also got the weapon banner which I think is just even worse than the phase 1 character banner somehow. For the five stars we got song of broken pines and lost player to sacred winds, and atleast for F2P these aren’t great options. Now if you have Eula then her signature weapon is obviously great, but the thing is that it’s substat is physical so it won’t be great for other characters. With lost prayer to sacred winds this weapon is in the standard banner so it isn’t really worth spending your primos on a limited banner for it. As per the four stars however we got some decent choices with the alley flash sword, which has elemental mastery and a damage buff. For the bow we got alley hunter which is good for off field bow users. Then for the claymore we got rainslasher which isn’t great but can work for beidou or razor as it gives a damage buff for those effected by hydro or electro. Then for polearm we got the favonius lance and this is probably the best of the weapon banner has its great for numerous characters. Unfortunately to end on a disappointing note we got eye of perception as the catalyst and I feel like we get this every two banners. It’s not bad or anything but it’s certainly not great, and especially does not compare to other weapons such as the widsith.
