AWS Step Functions allow developers to simplify their applications by offloading state management to a managed AWS service. This means instead of handling partial failure cases, retries, and other "non happy cases" as part of your application logic, you can modularize your code into "Steps" and let AWS Step Functions worry about the details.
Last week Step Function added a new feature that allows you to design all the state machines with a visual tool - called the Workflow Studio. In this video I will show you how to get started with it. I will demostrate you how to get use it by building a working demo of a serverless application that stores items in DynamoDB and sends emails.
