The 88th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic between the University of Missouri and Ohio State University was sure to be an interesting game.
The Missouri Tigers beat the Ohio State Buckeyes 14-3 in the Cotton Bowl Classic.
The No. 9 Tigers vs. the No. 7 Ohio State were selected to play in one of the New Year Six bowl games in early December.
Mizzou's Brady Cook got the start against Ohio State's Devin Brown who made his first start with the team.
The Buckeyes got on the board first with a 44-yard field goal to lead 3-0. Ohio State had six punts in the first half.
The Tigers would come up empty-handed in the first half after six punts as well.
After a slow start to the second half, the Mizzou Tigers got the ball rolling after Brady Cook completed a 50-yard pass to Marquis Johnson.
Just a few plays later and at the start of the fourth quarter, Cody Schrader ran for a 7-yard touchdown to get the Tigers on the board.
Schrader, the former NCAA Division II standout and walk-on finished with 128 yards, running through two defenders for his 14th TD — and 10th consecutive game with a score.
