What I think can really set you apart is the communication skills, right? Like how you deliver that advice and like knowing your audience, whether or not the long memo is needed, whether or not the short bullet points are needed, whether or not it's an email, how you're really making sure that the critical points of what you are trying to convey to your client, that they can actually digest it and then use it.
And I saw that, I think, a lot in the law firm. I worked with a lot of really talented professionals who really could just read the clients and understand like how the delivery of our advice would be most beneficial. And I thought that was a really great skill, because a lot of times when you are at the firm, you don't have the complete picture as to like how your client is going to be using that advice, like what it looks like on the other side, like you give it to your, your point of contact, but what they're going to do with it and how they're going to socialize and how they're going to leverage it internally is not always known. And so being able to kind of like foresee how that's going to play out, I think it's really critical.
