well, we knew it was coming in one way or another – and for the 60th anniversary of Daytona, we got some new Daytonas! They look roughly the same, but they aren't. Because this is Rolex.
First, don't worry, all Daytonas are still 40mm in diameter, though you'd be forgiven for thinking they've been upsized at first glance. The updates are minor, and described as follows. Rolex is going precious in yellow gold once again. But the big news is the inclusion of a Jubilee bracelet. That's right, the jubilee has made its way into both Rolesor and full gold models putting it in contention with the Day-Date as potentially being the exit watch in the Crown's catalog.
For those hoping to see a Root Beer configuration in a yellow-gold bezel, I'm sorry to say that today's models yellow-gold models don't quite get you there. But they do feature a bicolor Cerachrom bezel in solid black and grey, as well as a color-matching GMT hand and GMT-Master II text with a golden hue. The new reference number for the steel Daytona is 126500. We'll be back later with live pictures and lots more details and thoughts. For now, have a look at the entirely family of new Daytonas here.
wo years ago, Rolex eliminated its 39mm Explorer model and reintroduced a 36mm sizing to the delight of fans everywhere. Today, the size goes back up and the Explorer is now larger than its ever been before at 40mm in diameter. Yes, we now live in a world where we have a 40mm Explorer.
Effectively nothing else has changed on this watch other than the size. The movement is the same caliber 3230, the case remains stainless steel, and the dial has the same recognizable layout. In fact, in this new large format, Rolex has kept the Explorer text up at 12 o'clock on the dial (the 39 model moved it above the chronometer certification text). Reference Number: 224270

Patek Philippe has introduced a new Calatrava Pilot Travel Time Chronograph ref. 5924G, the brand's first-ever chronograph in the Pilot watch line with a flyback chronograph.
An ever-present challenge manifested in the brand’s ambition to perfect every component, question every method, and master every aspect of watchmaking expertise. The new Rolex watches unveiled in 2023 illustrate a desire to reinvent while preserving a sense of continuity, to innovate while being mindful of tradition, and to leverage technology in daring to create. Only through exacting demands are exemplary timepieces formed. Watches that, with time, become icons.
Light and robust, the new Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master 42 in RLX titanium is the ally of those seeking freedom of movement. Especially suited to the demands and pressures of competitive sailing, it puts watchmaking excellence at the service of sporting performance.
The Yacht-Master 42 is the second watch in RLX titanium released by Rolex after the Oyster Perpetual Deepsea Challenge, confirming that lightness is a quality to be taken seriously. 18 kt white gold makes a comeback to the Sky-Dweller range. This precious alloy is combined with a bright black dial and, for the first time, with an Oysterflex bracelet. Equipped with an Oysterclasp and the Glidelock extension system, this bracelet brings enhanced comfort on the wrist. New dial colours adorn the face of the Sky-Dweller: a delicate mint green offered on the white Rolesor versions, and an elegant blue-green exclusively on the reference in 18 kt Everose gold fitted on an Oyster bracelet.
