SANGUEM LOCALS AGGRESSIVE AGAINST ‘ECO SENSITIVE ZONE’_Prudent Media Goa

Sanguem locals have decided to oppose the proposed inclusion of their 13 villages under Eco-Sensitive zone by government. It may be recalled that these 13 villages of Sanguem taluka along with some other villages are been proposed to be included in eco-sensitive zone. Locals have demanded government to remove their villages from the list. Gram Sanrakshan Manch has arranged a meeting of locals to oppose the move and have decided their further course of action.
Manch will be conducting meetings in every panchayats of Sanguem on 17th November, with a concluding public meeting on 24th November. MLA Prasad Gaonkar has stated that they are ready to take the agitation to Delhi.
