Canada creates federal plastics registry as world negotiates treaty to end plastic waste
Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault says a new federal plastics registry will help Canadians better understand the scope of the plastics problem and help make manufacturers responsible for their products. Guilbeault is announcing the new registry with the fourth round of negotiations for a global plastic treaty poised to begin in Ottawa. (April 22, 2024)
