Mazda's High Beam Control System switches the headlights between high-beam and low-beam automatically when cars approach, when there is a car ahead, or when you're driving in a well-lit area.
Mazda's HBC system ensures enhanced visibility at night time, and relieves the driver of the necessity to manually switch between high- and low-beam headlight settings. Using a camera at the top of the windshield, the HBC system detects the headlights of oncoming vehicles or the taillights of vehicles you are approaching and adjusts the headlight setting accordingly. When the high-beam headlights are not needed, such as in brightly-lit areas, they are switched off automatically.
