Do you want to record screen on Windows 10 to record gameplay or tutorials? Then you can use OBS to screen record on Windows 10 for free. OBS is a streaming app but it also allows you to capture the screen in 4K, HD resolutions.
Download OBS -
You may need to install the Visual C++ redistributed before you can install the OBS.
Once done, you have to do certain settings for the recording.

1. Create a new profile.
2. Add a new scene.
3. Add "Display Capture " in the media source window.
4. Go to settings and choose appropriate Output settings as you want.
5. Once done, you are good to go for recording.

You can also configure Hotkeys to Start/Stop/Pause the recording and several other key combinations.
