Discord is a communication platform designed for gamers, communities, businesses, and friends. It supports text, voice, and video chat, along with customizable servers, channels, and integrations.
1. Getting Started with Discord
Downloading and Installing Discord
You can use Discord in three ways:
Web version at discord.com
Desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Mobile app for iOS and Android
Creating an Account
Open Discord and click Sign Up
Enter your email, username, password, and date of birth
Verify your email by clicking the link sent to your inbox

Server Overview
Each server contains:

Right Sidebar – Member List
Shows all online and offline members in a server or chat
Bottom Bar – User Settings

3. Joining or Creating a Server
Joining a Server
Click the plus icon on the left sidebar
Select Join a Server and enter the invite link
Click Join
Creating a Server
Click the plus icon and choose Create My Own
Enter a server name and upload an optional icon
Click Create and set up channels and roles
4. Text and Voice Communication
Sending Messages in Text Channels
Type a message and press Enter
Use at mentions to tag members
Send GIFs, emojis, and images
Use markdown formatting for text customization
Double asterisks for bold text
Single asterisks for italics
