Third-Party Updates Fail to Install with Error 0x800b0109 in SCCM
In this video, we will talk about an error you SCCM clients will receive when attempting to install third-party software updates if the WSUS Signing Certificate hasn't been deployed to the clients.
You will see the following errors in the client logs.
WUAHandler.log - Failed to download updates to the WUAgent datastore. Error = 0x800b0109.
WindowsUpdate.log - FAILED [800B0109] ISusInternal:: CopyUpdateToCache2
WindowsUpdate.log - FAILED [800B0109] Method failed [CAgentDownloadManager::CopyUpdateToCache:17319]
WindowsUpdate.log - FAILED [800B0109] Error: verifying trust for *
WindowsUpdate.log - FAILED [800B0109] Digital Signatures on file *
A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider.
