How to change air filter on SAAB 9-3 and how to clean MAF sensor. All engine variants: 4cyl Petrol, V6 petrol and 4cyl diesel. All use the same lower air box and air intake system. Including tools required.
If you fit good quality filters and ensure they are properly fitted with no leaks, then it shouldn’t be ‘necessary’ to clean your MAF sensor. However no filter is 100% efficient so over 10’s of 000’s of miles some small particles are bound to settle on it and you might as well give it a quick clean whilst you’re “in the neighborhood”
