So todays video is talking about Fontaine in genshin impact and providing Genshin News not necessarily genshin leaks about Fontaine because it is all speculation. So with that being said Fontaine can be mid for a few reasins, including the Fontaine banners but not the genshin 3.8 banners. Here is why:
What is goody gang so today I am going to be talking about Fontaine and why it might not be as breathtaking as something like Inazuma or Sumeru. Now keep in mind I'm not trying to make this post to doompost on the Fontaine region because I am very excited for the region as well. However in just approaching this from a logical viewpoint as to why it might not be all the same hype that carried on from the previous regions. Well to begin with Inazuma this has so much hype because we had never gotten a new region or map expansion before . This was a breath of fresh air and introduced new mechanics which was a big reason why the Inazuma region was highly perceived. Obviously the region itself is very nice but along with the fact it's the first time we saw a new region this created tremendous amounts of hype towards the region. Not only that though because we got some very cracked characters from this region or released during the time of the region including yelan, raiden, Yae Miko, and many more. So with all of that being part of the Inazuma hype if we take a look at the Sumeru hype it's a little bit different. The Sumeru region was highly anticipated for because of the dendro reactions and the introduction of a whole new element. There is hype for a new region but since we already got the surprise of a new region from Inazuma the hype of a new region overall would be a little less since we know what to expect more or less. Dendro completely changed up the meta and allowed for a refreshing rebirth of team compositions and play styles. Well now moving on to Fontaine what can it really be offering to us, since the shock value of a new region goes down and there aren't new elements being announced. The most it can do is provide a new region and add to the story and potentially change up old reactions, which would really be its only saving grace. Obviously new region will bring hype but what I'm saying is that it won't be as anticipated as previous ones in my opinion, and without anything groundbreaking they can add it doesn't really seem like it can be much. Now unless they add something huge like a new form of endgame or expand things with more abyss floors, completely new mechanics or play styles, or just anything else I do not think it will be as significant. They did also mention diving in the 3.7 livestream towards the end, which would definitely be a cool feature but I don't think that alone can live up to the same hype as a new element or the excitement of new region for the first time. And also with all of the good characters we have out can they really add anything groundbreaking, or will it all just be mid characters kind of like Sumeru besides al Haitham and Nahida. I think obviously at first there can be hype with the new underwater mechanics, because it can maybe change up gameplay style and could maybe even buff certani reactions which I will make a separate video about. But the fatc it would only be constrained to Fontaine would not make it as appealing, unless they incorporate some underwater features into the abyss. Obviously not trying to downplay fontaine because like I said i am also hyped for it but I also want to set reasonable expectations so people are not upset if it does not bring the same hype as inazuma or sumeru.
