Let’s talk about its design first. At first glance, it might look like a bulky device, but its actually quite small and handy. It has a rounded camera bump in the middle on top of a glossy design surrounding it. There are two 13MP cameras on either side of the ENVizon 360 which is the reason the device looks a bit bulky. You also get a pouch with the ENVizon 360 that prevents it from scratches. For connectivity, you get a USB Type C port at the bottom of it.
The Huawei EnVizion 360 has two 13MP camera lens with f/1.8 aperture lens on both sides. It uses Sony’s image sensor and an I-CATCH V35 image processor and offers image resolution it has two options: 5376 x 2688 pixels and 3840 x 1920 pixels. You can download the app for ENVizon from Play store.
With the camera, you can capture 360- degree shots and view in different modes, such as, fish- eye, planet, VR, etc. But, the quality of the images is not as shown in the preview. There are two preview modes available here, Standard and HD power intensive. The camera does not come with a battery of its own, but uses your phone’s camera to power itself. But the battery consumption is very insignificant.
About the picture quality, you cannot expect it to have the same quality as your phone’s camera. The objects taken from the camera are distinguishable and the edges are pretty well defined too. But, the images taken in natural light outdoors come out better than the indoor ones. However, while taking photos, you can notice glitch lines in parts where the picture is stitched. We hope, this problem gets solved with updates in future.
In the end, we think that this one is a necessary device to have, but it does give a different perspective to your images if you are an enthusiast. Even if you are not one, it can be really fun to try it.
