RECAP: Mary Knight's Documentary + Q&A (SATANIC RITUAL ABUSE *TW*)
(FIXED AUDIO) Mary Knight, a social worker from Washington State, recently released a documentary detailing the horrific sexual and physical abuse that she faced from a young age. Knight was subjected to sexual abuse by her own parents as a child -- claiming they sexually assaulted her, used her for child pornography, and made her watch them CUT OPEN her dead sister's body.
Knight explained that she experienced satanic ritual abuse. According to OJP.gov (Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice), satanic ritual abuse involves the use of satanism, cannibalism, or human sacrifices to frighten young victims, using fear as the controlling tactic. While speaking out about her documentary in a Q&A with fans of Real Women Real Stories, Mary referred to comments made by proponents of the False Memory Syndrome Foundation in which they diminish the seriousness of child abuse.
In her emotional documentary, she interviewed a series of other victims who repressed memories of their abuse until years later, as well as various psychology professionals in an attempt to uncover the truth about her childhood and make sure that what she remembered was what really happened to her.
