Dungeons and Dragons Monsters| Don't Get Overrun by The Orcs.
Of all the D&D monsters out there I've always had a special place in my heart for the orc. Orcs are savage, fierce warriors that you just don't want to piss off, but they can be so much more than that. They are an intelligent monster with their own culture, agendas, and plans.
Unfortunately they don't get the respect they fully deserve in Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, and a lot of other fantasy based RPG's. This isn't a tabletop role-playing game issue, it's a dungeon master issue for the most part. On the plus side it's easy to fix. When we as game masters can get out of the I need monsters for my players to kill mode and go into story mode things begin to change.
Orcs are not just waiting around for a group of adventurers to come along, murder it, and take their stuff. No their living the little orc lives when whatever they are doing and whatever the players are doing bring them into direct contact. If these actions are at odds with one and another then there may be conflict.
