ERA’s Waste Minimization Platform is a systematic, life-cycle approach to solid waste minimization decision making. Its objective is to divert waste away from landfills and incinerators and towards more sustainable options such as repurposing, recycling, composting, etc. through material, chemical, and regulatory analysis.
ERA's vision regarding waste management and waste minimization has been split into two avenues. one is the community and interaction of how waste can be reused in community and community projects and that's where we partnered with John Bradburn, to bring some of the teachings on how to do so.
As well as the aspect of how larger companies with large volumes of waste can reuse and where these materials can be reused by analyzing their chemical composition of the waste that is being generated.
Also, finding the best proposed match for the waste that is generated to be used in as a raw material for another product and that type of waste management is what we're hoping to be the innovative way to help companies look at their waste as a potential asset rather than a waste to pay and dispose.
Over the years working with the Suppliers Partnership for the Environment, we’ve formed many long term member relationships on a technical and personal level that have very favorably improved the auto sectors sustainability footprint and we’ve done it on a multi-impact perspective, in line with the UN Sustainability Development Goals. Our software solution directs users to many successful projects based on the US EPA’s hierarchy of material dispositioning.
