One of the main problems that Streamers have is that all their monetization happens when they are online, which means that every hour spent not streaming is an hour where they are not generating a community or an income. That is why it is so important for Content Creators in general to have passive income streams as well as active income streams.

Merch is one of those things which for a long time was very difficult, but nowadays there are services a-plenty that make both the buying and selling process a breeze for the viewer and the streamer - to the point where the streamer can get a good quality T-shirt for about $12-15.
