Summaries are often what we look for when analyzing our data, and when you’re using SQL, Group By is your friend in this regard. Group By allows you to pick a field like a Sales Order ID field, and use that field to summarize many rows of data; like summing up all the line item amounts for that order. Group By is very powerful, and also allows you to use other summaries, like Sum, Avg, Count, Min, Max, and some others. Add Group By to your toolkit today!
