Step 1: Create a Project
Go to the [Google Cloud Platform Console](https://console.cloud.google.com).
Click "Create Project" and provide a project name.
Step 2: Enable Compute Engine API

Search for "Compute Engine API" and enable it.
Step 3: Create a Virtual Machine Instance

Click "Create instance".
Step 4: Configure Instance Settings
Name: Choose a name for your instance.
Zone: Select a zone where your instance will be located.
Machine type: Select the desired CPU and memory configuration.
Boot disk: Choose an operating system image (e.g., Ubuntu, Windows Server).
Network: Select the network your instance will connect to.
Firewall: Allow access to your instance (e.g., HTTP, SSH).
Step 5: Advanced Settings (Optional)
Custom metadata: Add custom key-value pairs to your instance.
Tags: Assign tags to your instance for easier management.
Scheduling: Configure when your instance starts and stops.
Step 6: Create the Instance
Review your settings and click "Create".
The instance will be created in the background.
Step 7: Access the Instance
Once the instance is created, click on its name to view its details.
You can connect to your instance via SSH (Linux) or RDP (Windows).
The default username and password for Linux instances is "google" and for Windows instances is "Administrator".
