With technological change occurring "faster than ever before" is it good for us? Will computers & the internet go the way of CB Radios or take hold like fire? What does it mean for me in my daily life? How do we retain human values, aspirations and our unique personalities amidst this revolution? Will it bring positive social change to and democratization of the world and/or promote war in a violent reaction against a system of haves and have nots and against globalization? These questions are considered by several technological experts and observers in 1997 and still hold tremendous relevance today in 2019.
Footnote: With some irony, this was the last episode of "Nightline" to feature its original skyline logo and ABC theme in the intro before it was replaced the next evening by more "mod" graphics and sound [thanks to Kwadwo Holloway for pointing out this transformation].
